Jobs & Hiring

Testing

Milton Police Department uses Public Safety Testing to do all of its testing for Entry level candidates.  For Lateral candidates please email the Milton Police Department. Access information on testing, hiring and pay and benefits.

Milton Police Reserve Program Testing

The Reserve Officer testing will consist of a written, physical ability test (PAT) as well as an oral board. The written test is meant to test “real world” experience(s) – there is no specific course of study or study guide to follow in preparation. Guides for training for the PAT can also be located at the Public Safety Testing website. To secure a testing appointment, complete the Reserve Police Officer Interest form by requesting a copy from Chief Hernandez.

Lateral Reserve Candidates or Academy Graduates

For lateral reserve candidates or graduates of an accredited Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) or Reserve Police Academy, applications are open on a continuous basis. Interested candidates should fill out Reserve Police Officer interest form which will be forwarded to you via email by request from Chief Hernandez.

Submitting the Reserve Officer interest form does not guarantee a position for reserve testing.

Volunteer

Take a look at the Milton Police Department Volunteer Handbook and please email the Police Department for interest in volunteering in the department as an intern, volunteer, reserve police officer, or other capacity. The Police Department may also be reached by phone at 253-922-8735.
