Notice of Sealed Auction of Surplus Vehicle
Used 1998* GEM Electric 2 seat vehicle. Believe originally manufactured in 1998 as its original government asset number had the prefix 98-xxxxx. It was received by the City of Milton in 2015 from GSA Surplus, as a utility device for the Milton Police Department to access the Interurban trail. The City had it safety inspected in the fall of 2015 as it had no brakes and was delivered with no batteries. Per immediate service recommendations, repairs were completed to the brake system and 6 deep-cycle Gel batteries were installed. The maintenance service provider stated “ignition should be replaced” but was never done. About 18 months later in early 2017, all batteries were again replaced along with the main fuse block and main fuse which was blown, this was a problem and an additional block and fuses were purchased and go with the vehicle. Fall of 2017 the two original rear tires were replaced, the front tires are still believed to be original and need replacing, flat, cracked sidewalls. It was parked in 2017 where it remains now, the brakes are free as it was pushed 9/13/2023. Brakes, electric motor, pushbutton transmission and pushbutton transmission switch worked when parked. Has been stored outside in the elements. Will need to be trailered for safe removal. Winner will receive Bill of Sale for vehicle, no title on hand.
1998 GEM Electric is being sold in AS-IS condition with no-warranty, implied or other. It is understood that the Sale implies no warranties from the Seller.
