Public Hearing- MMC Title 17 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Milton City Council will conduct a public hearing regarding amendments to Title 17 to clarify certain sections of the Milton Municipal Code that relate to the regulation of churches and places of worship.

This hearing will take place in the City of Milton Council Chambers on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 7:00pm.

Cannon Redevelopment Neighborhood Meeting

The proposal is to construct a 25,000 sf 2-story office building, including the demolition of an existing warehouse, installation of a storm water vault, and improvements to parking.

Notice is hereby given that the City will be conducting a Neighborhood Meeting on February 24, 2022 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers located at 1000 Laurel Street, Milton, WA 98354. Interested parties are invited to attend.

Civil Service Commission Opening

The five members of the Civil Service Commission are responsible for establishing the hiring and promotional listings of police personnel for the City. 

The Civil Service Commission positions are appointed by the Mayor as described in Milton Municipal Code 2.32. Terms are for six years with one member's term expiring each year. 

The Commission meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6pm. To get involved, complete a Public Service Application. 

Planning Commission Opening

The seven-member Milton Planning Commission reviews staff proposals, holds public hearings and submits recommendations to the City Council on amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, development plans and area-wide zoning proposals and text amendments.

The Planning Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. The six-year terms terminate on the 31st day of May of the corresponding year. The Planning Commission has all the powers and duties specified by RCW Chapter 35A.63 , together with any other duties of authority conferred by the laws of the State, or by Milton’s Municipal Code.

The City of Milton’s Planning Commission has a vacancy for Position #4.  The Planning Commission meets the second Wednesday of the month from 6pm-8pm. To get involved, complete the Public Service Application.

Events Committee Openings

Are you looking for a way to get involved and have a passion for community events? We have 3 openings on our Events Committee. The Events Committee is tasked with planning and coordinating community events such as the annual Milton Days, Craft Bazaar and Tree Lighting. These events wouldn’t be possible without the members of the Events Committee!!
